Ask Your AI To Book A Local Pro
Tell ChatGPT or Claude what needs fixing. It can find a local service business that uses Corex, show you real open times, hold one, and give you a link to pay a card deposit. The visit lands on the business's schedule.
Only businesses that use Corex and turned on AI booking show up. Many areas have none yet.
You, to ChatGPT or Claude
My dryer won't heat. Find someone near 89101 and book the soonest time.
I found a business near you that takes AI bookings. The deposit is $25 and comes off your final bill. Refunds are up to the business. Soonest time: tomorrow, 10:00 AM. Want it?
Yes. Sam Ortiz, 702-555-0100, 123 Main St.
Add It To ChatGPT Or Claude
You add Corex Booking yourself as a custom connector. It is not listed in either app's directory, and it needs no sign-in.
Do this once on a computer. Use claude.ai or chatgpt.com. Claude's phone apps can use a connector you add there. OpenAI's help page says ChatGPT's custom apps are web only for now, so use ChatGPT on the web.
Connector address
https://corexai.co/api/ consumer-mcpClaude
Any Claude plan that allows custom connectors. On Team and Enterprise plans, an owner adds the connector first.
- In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors, choose Add, then Add custom connector.
- Name it Corex Booking and paste https://corexai.co/api/
consumer-mcp. Leave any advanced sign-in fields empty, because this connector has no sign-in. - Choose Add, then start a new chat and ask for a service, like the example below.
ChatGPT
Needs Developer mode, which is on some paid plans. Which plans can use it changes, so check OpenAI's help page if you do not see it.
- In ChatGPT, open Settings, then Apps and Connectors, then Advanced settings, and turn on Developer mode.
- Choose Create app, name it Corex Booking, paste https://corexai.co/api/
consumer-mcp, and choose No authentication for sign-in. - Create it, then start a new chat, turn the app on for that chat, and ask for a service.
Menu names change now and then, so look for the closest match if one has moved.
Then try this
“Find me an appliance repair company near 89101 and book the earliest open time for my dryer that won't heat.”
How It Works
Your assistant does the looking and the talking. You confirm the details and pay the deposit yourself.
- 1
Search
Your assistant looks for Corex businesses near your zip code that take AI bookings. If there are none, it says so.
- 2
Pick A Business
You see each match's town and deposit. Services, hours and the refund policy are one question away.
- 3
Pick A Time
It shows the soonest open times from the business's own calendar, starting at least two hours out.
- 4
Hold It
You give your name, phone, service address and the problem. It holds the time for 20 minutes and hands you a payment link.
- 5
Pay The Deposit
Pay by card. The visit is booked when the payment goes through, and it lands on the business's schedule.
The business is notified by email, and in the Corex app if they use it. If you gave an email address, you also get a confirmation email.
How The Deposit Works
The deposit holds your spot, and it comes off your final bill.
$5 To $500
Each business sets its own deposit, and $25 is the default. Your assistant tells you the amount before it books.
20 Minutes
The time is yours while you pay. After that it opens up for others and the link will not start a new payment.
Card Only, No Added Fee
You pay by card on a Stripe checkout page. The charge is exactly the deposit, with no card fee added on top.
Credited To Your Bill
The deposit comes off your final bill. Refunds are up to the business.
Your Information And Your Consent
Here is what happens to the details you give your assistant when you book.
- What The Business Gets
- Your name, phone number, address, email if you gave one, and the problem you described. They go into the business's own Corex account, and into any calendar or job tool the business has connected, so it can do the job.
- No Text-Message Consent
- Booking through an assistant does not sign you up for texts. Corex does not record text consent for you, and Corex itself does not text you about the booking. A business you already agreed to get texts from may still send its usual reminders.
- What Corex Logs
- Searches log the trade, the zip code and which businesses matched, never your name or phone. Your IP address is stored only in hashed form, for abuse limits. The connector does not return customers, other bookings or owner contact details.
- Your AI App
- What you type to ChatGPT or Claude is handled under that company's own privacy terms, not Corex's.
Questions People Ask
Does It Cost Anything To Connect Corex Booking?
Corex does not charge you to use the connector, and it needs no sign-in. The only money you pay is the deposit for a time you choose, exactly as quoted, with no card fee added. ChatGPT and Claude have their own plan requirements for custom connectors.
Which Businesses Can My Assistant Book?
Businesses that use Corex with an active Corex account, have turned on AI booking, have connected card payments, have a booking link and business hours, and serve your zip code. Not every Corex business has it on, so a search can come back empty. If it does, your assistant should tell you no business in your area is taking AI bookings yet.
What Will My Assistant Ask Me For?
Your name, a phone number, the service address and a short description of the problem. An email address is optional. Your assistant should confirm the time and the deposit with you before it books.
How Long Is My Time Held?
20 minutes. It's booked once you pay. After the 20 minutes the time opens up for others and the payment link will not start a new payment, so ask your assistant to book again. If you had already opened the checkout before the time ran out, you can still finish paying. If the time was taken in the meantime, the business is alerted to call you and rebook or refund. You can have one time held per phone number at each business, so pay for it or let it lapse before holding another. A phone number can only start a few holds a day.
How Do I Pay The Deposit?
By card, on a secure Stripe checkout page that your assistant gives you as a link. You pay on that page, not inside the chat.
What Happens After I Pay?
The visit goes on the business's schedule and the business is notified by email (and in the Corex app if they use it). If you gave an email address, you get a confirmation email from the business. Corex itself does not text you about the booking. A business you already agreed to get texts from may still send its usual reminders.
What If The Time Is Taken After I Pay?
That is rare, because the time is held for you while you pay. If it happens anyway, the business is alerted that you paid and is told to call you to pick a new time or refund the deposit.
Can Other People See My Booking Through The Connector?
No. The connector does not return customers, other bookings or owner contact details. It returns business names, services, hours, deposits and open times.
Run A Service Business?
Want homeowners' AI assistants to be able to book you? Turn on AI booking in Corex. You set the deposit, and it needs card payments connected, your business hours, a booking link, and a service area or business address set in Corex. It does not require the Corex Agent Pack.
For Developers And Agent Builders
Corex Booking is a public remote MCP server over streamable HTTP. It needs no sign-in and no key.
